About Stone Harbor, NJ

Stone Harbor is a quiet, family-friendly beach town on New Jersey’s Seven Mile Island, known for its wide white-sand beaches, protected bird sanctuary, and low-key downtown of local shops and restaurants — a calmer alternative to the boardwalks of Wildwood, just a short drive south. It’s a popular summer destination for families from Philadelphia, South Jersey, and the greater New York area looking for an uncrowded beach town with real small-town character.

Halcyon House

Halcyon House is a 3,000-square-foot, 7-bedroom, 4-bathroom beach house that has been in the same family for three generations, recently renovated to blend original charm with modern upgrades. It sleeps up to 14 guests and includes one of the largest private in-ground pools on the island, a fully equipped modern kitchen with island seating and a beverage fridge, two working fireplaces, central air, an outdoor shower, and multiple balconies and porches for morning coffee or evening unwinding.
The house sits about two blocks from Stone Harbor Beach and three blocks from the Stone Harbor Recreation Area (12 tennis courts, basketball, and playgrounds), with downtown shopping, Springers Ice Cream, and Bud’s Market all within an easy walk. Nature lovers can visit the nearby Stone Harbor Bird Sanctuary and the Wetlands Institute, and Wildwood’s boardwalk, amusement piers, and nightlife are just a short drive away.

Please note: Halcyon House is best suited to families and adult groups (guests generally mid-20s and older); we’re unable to accommodate prom or high school groups, and the home is unavailable in July and the first two weeks of August.
